If you mix them make sure you keep a close eye out, my niger was very peaceful at first , then I had to remove the tank bully and the peaceful niger turned into a maniac. If I would of left him in the tank he would of picked my voltan to death.

How long can LR sit out of water without having to re-cure it?

do not keep them. i agree with ophiura and I know cause a friend of mine tried to keep some. they died within a week. and yes they are a brown color when alive.

if it where me, i would do it seperatley. If one is ill and you combine them then you may lose two instead of one. I learned the hard way that trying to cut corners and do things easily will hurt your wallet and your livestock in the long run.
