One type of anenome that you can have would be a condylactis. This is an easy anenome to have. I have mine under compact pc's and it is thriving.

It could possibly be a gorilla crab. Does it have black claws? If the pinchers look sharp, not blunt, then it is most likely dangerous. If the claws are blunt, then it most likely eats algae.

Would a 36" light fixture be enough for a 55 gal tank? I beleive the tank is longer than that. I will measure when I get home. Thanks for the replies.

How big is your tank. Do you have a skimmer? It is most likely protein and other organics that a skimmer should help get rid of. (I think)
