how long do you keep your actinics on for?

Yes, I leave mine on all day. They come on 1hr before lights and 1hr after lights go off. I am not an expert, but this is what I was told: Actinics are important for photosynthetic corals, most corals use the blue wavelength, due to this penetrating water the best. Therefore most corals need...

Sorry, I will take pictures when I get home from work. It is shaped like a star, not round, it has a flat top (like a zoa), can retract like a zoa, pure white, not see through. Stays out at night. Hope that helps for now. I will post pictures tonight. Thanks for the help.

    HELP on Anemone

That is normal. Sometimes they do that after they eat. I would just wait it out and most likely it will go back to normal. To be safe I would check all your levels to make sure there isn't anything wrong.

    Attaching leather frags- help!

If you want to place them in a specific place in your tank, I like to use netting and a rubberband to hold the net in place. If I am going to trade them, I use a rubberband. Depends on what you want to do.

The green snails would not be the sun dial, but your third picture looks like a black snail, not green. Hard to tell from pic.

    Help ID

Did you buy it? Also, I am not an expert, wait until more people comment. If you bought it it most likely is not a sun dial. The white shelled snail is most likely a nassarius snail-good for mixing up sand bed and cleaning detritus
