Someone explain what i can keep with the lights i have

Ok i found a pretty decent deal on a Hagen GLO t5 HO dual bulb. If i buy this, and continue to use the single strip along with the dual, will 3 t5 lights do the job of keeping an anemone and some corals? Im not sure if it has individual reflectors or not, but hagen also sells individual...

Someone explain what i can keep with the lights i have

i was at the lfs today and they had a sale on anemonies for 10$, but i decided against it because i still wasnt sure about my lighting and i just added a clownfish and coral banded shrimp. I had to fight the urge to buy one, but then i remembered to be patient.

Bought my first real additions to my tank today

Thanks, i totaled the money i have spent on equipment alone not including the tank itself, or the water i keep buying or the food/salt/misc stuff and its just over $500. My damsel was picking on the clownfish, but seems to have quit now. i got a net ready in the water to try and catch him if he...

Bought my first real additions to my tank today

So i got a clownfish and a large coral banded shrimp today. Drip acclimated both for an hour, then added them to the tank. And if my Yellow Tail Damsel doesnt chill out, he will be headed back to the LFS in about an hour. So this brings my total population up to 1 yellow tail damsel 1 clownfish...

Someone explain what i can keep with the lights i have

ok so i have a 24" GLO t5 ho with blue actinic bulb on my 30 gallon tank. The deminsions on my tank are 12" wide x 24" long x 21" tall. This is the only light i have on the aquarium. Is this considered low lighting? Can i keep an anemone or maybe a coral or two?

I think i messed up my salt content

Well i just tested it with the older hydrometer (the one with the needle in it) and it read 1.0215. I have more than the recommended 20 times the flow. its a 30 gallon with a penguin biowheel 350 hob filter and a powerhead that flows 110 gph and one that flows 170 gph. So i guess im just...

I think i messed up my salt content

So either im having a blonde moment right now or i have been for the last 4 months. I originaly bought a hydrometer that you stick 6 inches into the water and it fills up and the needle moves to whatever the salt content is, but it was kinda hit or miss with it and gave me different readings...
