Well now i check my water parameters and my ph is down to 7.9, i added 40 pounds of base rock yesterday, but after looking through my record book i see the ph has steadily been dropping since about the 24th last month. i only use distilled water for my top offs and water changes. the only thing...

Well if its going to be the only pod eater in my setup, and i buy pods every now and then, i think he would do ok. i hope. Is there any other kind of really awesome colored fish that would be ok to keep with my current set up? Maybe i can force myself to like something i can keep.

well if you have the means to, you can set up a seperate tank for him and when its all cycled and your ready to move to corals you can switch him to another tank. Or you can bag him up and take him back to the store you got him from, unless you got him online. Or you can post an add on...

    ro water at walmart?

yeah i used tap water to start my tank but after that i learned tap was bad and have been doing all water changes and top offs with walmart distilled water. no problems in the 4 months my tank has been up. just a small diatom outbreak but lighting changes cleared that up mostly.

Adding new LR to an established tank

If its only a small amount you will be fine adding any rock to your tank. I cant afford to buy all the rock i need for my 30 gallon yet (i know, im a poor guy) so im buying it a couple pounds at a time. That also helps me with size. I would prefer to have smaller amounts of rocks than larger...
