I've been using distilled water instead of RO/DI and have been on the losing end of a battle with hair algae. I've got my lights down to 8 hrs feed every other day and do water changes once a week. Tank parameters are good, starting to think it's the water. Is RO/DI that much better?

been thinking about upgrading my reef to a larger tank, leaving me w/ a 55 gal tank to work w/. I'll probably leave about 40 lbs of LR. Do you think that I could have a snowflake, lion fish, porcupine puffer, and a flame hawk? I'll still be useing my wet/dry filter and skimmer on the tank aswell.

I have a Cynarina coral that is just starting to come to life again, it gave me a two week scare. When feeding this thing do I shoot the food on to it or put the food directlly in it's mouth? Also isn't this something that you feed once or twice a week?

Alot of the time I do really well in the canals leading out to the ocean. Alot of rock work and creaves for them to hide in some of the canals they. I do most of my diving in Key Largo and Taverier. They're really easy to get at night and there are few boats out then.
