pellet is the best/cleanest food u can feed. mexican turbo snails are awesome for algae. weekly water changes. biweekly feedings. activated carbon. uv filter. feeding less. ro/di water. removing debris. nassarius snails. manual algae removal.

clowns are a known pain to feed. mine will only eat live black worms. one worm in the morning. one at night. their mouths are small, their throats even smaller, and their bellies also small. they're supposed to be in systems where they can eat micro fauna and things off of coral all day...

should be ok but you have to leave space for air/oxygen in the tanks for the fish. maybe half water half air. also you will have to test the water to make sure it matches or you will shock your tank into a crash. salinity, etc. you will have to worry about oxygen and temperature.

the only crabs that are safe for coral or animals are red leg hermits and scarlet hermits

i've tried cycling with shrimp 2x. both times left my tank covered in slime. horrible. i'd rather use flake food. think about what would happen to your tank if u left some flakes in there. then think about the shrimp.

i've had my api kit for 7 years and my established tank tests zero and my cycling tank tests as expected with nitrite dropping every day.

some eat pellets. you could also breed freshwater snails for your puffer. really easy to do.

the only safe crabs are red legs and scarlets. cerith snails are the hardiest and will go everywhere including under the sand. smaller = more safe. stars will kill all life in your sand. though serpants and brittles are ok but can get aggressive when bigger.

crabs will kill anything if given the opportunity, including other crabs. even hermits will kill. crabs will do a number on shrimp. most crabs are not reef safe (even hermits are not) but i heard porcelain crabs are. i dunno much about the pom poms though.

crabs mate very violently and often kill eachother. also if the dead one was molting it would have left it weak...

i've seen these sold as red reef crabs and sand crabs. if they are the bright candy apple red ones i'm thinking of. with two small claws. i had one but it died in like a day. i couldn't find any info on their care. dunno if something killed it or what. i don't think i had something going...

i've seen many aggressive lawnmowers. mine killed my jawfish and my bicolor blenny. lawnmowers are also hard to keep fed. i've heard of someone keeping a tailspot and a bicolor together. the bicolor is definitely less aggressive than the lawnmower. jawfish are really wimpy. the tailspot is...
