    Wow..

lol you're so funny sorry, it's just what you said about being sure you avoided hitchhikers. It's pretty common knowledge that although a person might be able to tell you exactly what they intentionally put in their aquarium not a single person will ever be able to tell you what all is in their...

    220 FOWL Tank Diary

Lol why thank you Crypt!!! I'm no expert but I've been able to keep my 24g nano running smoothly for 3 yrs now :) Anyways, I can only assume it died. And on that basis I do not think it wise for him to get another, at least for a good long while. After going through 3 baby hippos I stopped trying.

    Odd Glass crawler.

Well technically if it's just on the glass it can't be doing any harm right? I don't mean forget about it but it's kind of interesting right now so just keep an eye on it. But Cran's the expert ^.^ I know this is slightly off topic but I was looking at the hitchhiker guide and I was wondering...

    anemone RE hosting????

oh no you shouldn't expect it to go right to it, it took my clown a loooong time for the instinct to kick in. Nemo was a tiny little thing when I got him and he was tank raised and had never seen an anemone before. He had to mature a bit until finally one day I walked in my room and he was...

    LTA vs. BTA

I had a LTA for a while before I had lighting issues, it was such a hardy little fighter, spent like 3 months with no light. It was weird because it only died after I fixed the light....I cried for it....Nemo did too It was almost too easy to take care of and I had no experience, I know I...

Critter ID - Friend or foe?

does it have little tufts? Doesn't matter other than for identification purposes. Fretfreak's right, flush it. It's a segmented worm and while some (reg. bristle worm) can be debated as to whether or not they're good or bad it is most certain that a worm that size has got to go! I'm definitely...

    Sharks

Yes I understand and agree entirely with all of your points but still think there could be use in the adaptability of the nurse shark, provided there were proper surveys that showed: 1.What is the most commonly kept shark? 2.What size tank is it kept in?(broken down in categories of size to...

    Sharks

You make very good points, again, why I said that I was not encouraging the keeping of nurse sharks. However, I think it could be debated whether or not it might be better than other sharks in an aquarium. ***please note that I am arguing this point from a completely neutral perspective***...

    reg. ocellaris and b/w ocellaris???

crap. If that's the case it must be famale and I'll just have to get a smaller b/w ocellaris. Thanks for all the help everyone, I'll tell you how it goes. But first, I'm going to get her back in an anemone ^.^

    reg. ocellaris and b/w ocellaris???

thanks for the info, he doesn't really act dominant towards the other fish, only time he gets mad is if I try and move rock around, and then he'll nip me (cute little bugger). Is size indicative at all to what gender he is?

    Sharks

Not to encourage the keeping of Nurse sharks but they are the only species that I know of that has a strong enough instinct to be able to be released back into the wild when they outgrow their tank.

Dragon is finally comfy in the open

Gosh those things look terrifying! Yet I think I'd still have the urge to put my hand in the tank....strange Of course 2 juvee barracudas didn't stop me from petting a nurse shark either

    reg. ocellaris and b/w ocellaris???

Well oh crap! >.< I don't want a nimette! But I don't get it, it's still quite small. He's maybe 1.5" I think it's still a boy, otherwise I'm going to have to perform a c-section if I want babies. Isn't it tiny enough to be male?

    finding each other

also, something I have been told, captive ocellaris clowns are least likely to go to anemones. This was told to me many times by many ppl when I was trying to get little Nemo to go to a LTA. He finally did when he matured. Maroon clowns and clarkiis have a stronger instinct from what I've heard...
