How can you tell if you have a bad batch of salt?my tank has been runnin for 4 days now and the glass has a white milky slime on it.

Im just wondering after inital start up how long will the tank be cloudy?Its been running 3 days and although i see a slight difference it still looks very very cloudy.also i have the 75 gal aga with megaflow.The drain pipe makes a toilet flushing sound,is there any way to fix this?

so to confirm,warm water does produce faster?

Im getting ready to start up my new tank.I noticed my tanks overflow is rated at 600 gph,the return pump my lfs sold me is a mag 9.5.My question is this gonna cause problems in my sump?(i.e suck the sump dry of water)due to my tanks overflow being 600.Another questoin is how do i figure out my...

just wondering if the coralife vho is any good.im looking at the coralife 4 bulb total 440 watts.will this be enogh light for coral and anemones?also will this create alot of heat?

i bought a new tank 75 gallon,im wondering if it is possible to run 2 sets of pc's on it to help with anemones.i currently have 4x65 12,000 days bulbs and blues.my friend has the same setup that he is getting rid of.i just dont have the $$ to put out for mh.

by "plumb" i figured it would be hooked up to the return pump from the exhaust port..but i guess it just spits the skimed water back into the sump area.it seemd like it wouldnt effectivly clean that way but i guess it does...so thnx for the help^^

oh sorry..i know its an excalibur in sump skimmer with built in pump.im just really confused as how to plumb it.

i have a wet/dry filter and my lfs said to just put the skimmer in the sump part of it...my question is do i hook up my return pump to it?or does my return pump just set in the sump to?im confused how to hook it up.in case ya havent noticed im new to the hobby lol:D

or does my mag pump hook directly up to the skimmer to pump water back to tank?
