I just got my reef package yesterday and my snails started climbing th glass.Today i wake up and 14 snails are at the very top practicaly out of the water,is this normal? My next question is are nass snails suposed to climb the glass?

My tank has some weird algea growing on the rocks,it is a brilliant emerald green,and it looks like moss,but silky looking,its actualy nice looking but just wanted to make sure its nothing bad.

yeah i have 100 lbs of live tht took five days for me to get from fl to me.

any other ideas why its like this?

Im cycling a new tank,has been up bout 5 days.i was inspectong my wet/dry filter today and i noticed a bunch of little things in there.They looked like,well little gold maggots,but they dont move :notsure: any idea what they are?

I have the sv1 excalibur skimmer with the rio 800 pump.Only thing is its not really producing foam.I just started cylcling my tank yesterday.Should it build more foam?

I just added live rock to my tank yesterday.I tested ammonia and ph for the heck of it today.ph=8.2 and my ammonia was about .22.should my ammonia be this high already?Next question is,how long do i wait for my first water change? Thnx

did u have to rinse you substarte alot?the tank is 75gal aga,i run a wet/dry filter with a sv1 excalibur skimmer and a mag 9.5 for return.so it could take up to a week for the salt to disolve?my substrate just seems to create more and more cloud i woke up this morn and it looked like nothing but...

sorry guess i should have gone into detail,im using crystal sea marine mix,i stirred the bucket up and just dumped into the tank,its a 75 aga with built in overflow.i dont have any powerheads.im using carib-sea aragonite reef sand as my substrate.
