    Damel Question

That tang will grow to be quite large and will need at least 6ft of swimming room. He won't last in that tank for much over 6 months. Remember take what the fish store says with a grain of salt, they are part fish lovers part business men and of course they have to sell stuff to stay afloat.

    Damel Question

First of all, a 30 gallon tank is too small for a yellow tang, and as well IMHO you have too many fish in a tank that has only been up and running for 6 weeks. It usually takes at least 6 weeks for a tank to cycle.

    triggers together

Yeah i've never seen any problems either. My friend has a Humu Humu, Picasso, Niger and an Undulate in one tank and they all get along fine. It's a 135 gallon tank with a fair bit of rock.

Ever been bitten by a Titan Trigger?

Most divers fear titans more than sharks. I've never been bitten by one, but i've heard they take one heck of a chunk. And yes it's probably painful, plus you are in saltwater so it stings too.

    aggressive tank clean up crew

Honestly the best clean up crew for an agressive tank is a very efficient protein skimmer. Any inverts or anything else that you put in the tank will be a nice dinner for the fish. A 120 gallon tank should be fine for the triggers & tang.

    Red/rust algae

Sounds like red slime algea, which is a cyanobacteria. What are your phosphate & nitrate levels? It could just be too many nutrients in the water, etc.

    55 gal FOWLR

What type of butterfly fish? if its a juv. Copper Band you'll be ok. The Flame will be fine, but the Purple Tang, i don't know the tank seems a little small to put a tang in as they like to swim a lot. If its small do it for a little while but move to a bigger tank.
