Noisy overflow! How do you fix it?

I filled my overflows with bio balls so that the water wasn't falling as far. It cut down the noise to almost nothing.

yeah I'm working on moving the thermometer out and putting it some place where it less likely to be nipped at by my triggers.

As far as her diet and preference for certain ( sometimes expensive ) fish it was trial and error, mostly errors! A LFS had it but it was mislabelled as a Sea Goblin. I went online a found out what it really was and got it immediately.

The stonefish is also in most of my pics of my tank also. Very cool fish but will eat anything that fits in her mouth ( including a 7" / $80 grouper ). She also has a fondness for wrasses I found out, don't ask.

I add about 3-10lbs a week. It gets expensive. I've got about 200-225lbs now, I stopped counting exact amounts because the cost is depressing.

    fimby eel

Yeah, I know but I'm hoping for the best, also it's in with some pretty mean characters so we'll see what happens. I think we talked about this on another thread a while back and trust me I am keeping an eye on him but he's still alot more mellow than my jewelled moray.

I've got one that's abot 20" and have not had any problems with it. It will eat feeders but leaves everything else alone. You just need to be careful about what you have in the tank with it.

    nocturnal vs day feeders

I have a small tank with a pajama cardinal and it feeds during the day the same times as the rest of the tank. I have seen that fish get used to having a certain time of day that they get food, so your cardinal will adjust his habits to fit into the enviroment. I may be wrong...

current fish get along w/ trigger ?

I have a clown trigger and have not noticed that much growth in the few months I've had it. I would definately wait and make the upgrade prior to buying the trigger though and put it in last to cut down on the chance that he'll become too aggressive too fast. They are great fish and I really...

    triggers

If you have 90 gallons I would not recommend any more, clowns can get well over a foot in captivity I think they max out around 20". I personally have 3 triggers but they are in a 240gal tank and that will get crowded once they are adults. I have a niger, picasso and a clown and s far they are...

    UFC 61 - Bitter rivals

I think the ref should have let Tito pound on Shamrock some more. Shamrock has been in the game long enough to know when he is done, he could have tapped if he wanted. All the ref did was guarantee a rematch between them.

    cleaner fish in aggressive tanks?

Buy a cheap cleaner wrasse if your going to buy one. I had one in my tank that lasted about 3 days. I my tank though I don't know who got him. He seemed to be ok with my triggers but I think he tried to clean my stonefish.
  20. vezina345

    Which trigger would you take?

How big is your tank? If your torn between the two you you might consder both, they are from diferent families and should be ok together ( I could be wrong ). If I was to pick one for myself then I would pick the Hawaiian but only because I have a picasso which is similiar to the other one.
