    Blue Hippo tang

I wouldn't buy it from this website, I'd buy one at your local fish store. How big is your tank? Blue tangs shouldn't be placed in tanks under 70 gallons.

    Snowflake eels

yea I'd say no more than 2 because they get to be 2' long. Make sure you have an extremely tight lid with no holes where they can escape!

    lion sting

No, I havn't been stung since I started using gloves. Use the long aquarium gloves that go up to ur arm, I like them especially because i hape deep show tanks.

    lion sting

Yea gloves would work great. I use them with my lionfish and in my freshwater stingray tank. It doesn't hurt a whole lot when your stung. More like a strong bee sting. It's not deadly at all, just painful. If you ever do get stung, run the stung area under extremely hot water, just hot enough...

You could always buy a tap water filter. There only $30 online.

how do I get copper out of my tank

Lots of water changes should do it. Get it out fast, most saltwater fish are not tolerant of copper. P.S. Love your icon (the Kramer picture) that episode was awesome!

    eels

Eels will eat most inverts, like shrimp, snails, clams ect. they usually dont bother starfish though... Don't put any small fish like clownfish in it though, Unless your buying it an expensive meal.

    Skimmer

I use a light fixture with legs in my 60 gallon and i just use a glass lid. The advantage of using glass is that you can have it cut so if u want it shorter you just bring it to a local glass cutter and it'll be done in no time.

OK I was wrong sue me LOL

Yea I've also recently bought the Seaclone 100 for my 50 gal. I ordered it online a few days ago so I havn't received it yet. Hopefully it's half decent. I bought it because I buy a lot of Marinelands products like Instant Ocean salt. I also bought it because it's price was very...

    Live Rock

Ok, but can you explain what kind of mini cycle it goes through. I have all that testing equipment. Would it still help if you used about 25 pounds in a 50 gal. tank with filters and a protein skimmer. Also, does it benefit the fish in any way, and are there anything that u can't keep live...

    Live Rock

Hey, I'm new to saltwater, but not fish in general. I have a 60 gallon Discus/Freshwater Stingray tank, so I know what I'm doing with fish and have done a lot of research on saltwater. I've recently bought a 50 gallon tank that is cycled and ready, all the equipment is bought and set up. But I...

Setting up 55, have filter questions

Yea, the tap water thing def. isn't hype. It's been proven that tap water is not good to be put in your aquarium; however that doesn't mean you can't be successful. I mean, people buy goldfish for 5 gallon tanks and barely ever clean it or change water but they are still successful. It also...

If I were you, I wouldn't buy a UV sterilizer. It's just more money for something that isn't crucial for success in your tank. I started this fish hobby when I was about 12 years old (I'm 15 now) and now I have a 60 gallon Discus/freshwater stingray tank, and in that, I use a UV sterilizer. It's...
