OK , after first response, I went and tried it, I was able to fit a 65 in real tight fit, but it worked great. my LFS is a good three hour drive round trip hence getting a feel here first, thanx for posts.

I have used the old coke syrup plastic drums for koi breeding, and recently some kind of plum sauce drums, for transport of all my rock/ fish during a move. no issues with either. I filled both with tap, and ran a power head for a day then rinsed before use. hope this helps.
