Well I could answer this question ..........but since you insulted mantis shrimp . Technicaly you could add this trigger and you should be fine . Just keep in mind that like your tang its going to get big and take away stocking room for other fish .

Triggers are not ppicky as far as rock work just give them some shelter and they will be happy . You can get hermit crabs that are baseball sized and they are pretty much triger proof .

It is very important to feed puffers shell fish (Shrimp muscles clams) basicaly anything with a shell . It helps to keep the beek worn down .

I am starting with a 14 gallon bio cube and then this fall when we move I will be doing the tank shuffle and the Reef/mantis tank will be going into the 75 . The Triggers and damsel will be going into a 125 and the 14 gallon will be empty until I can get a wernnera

You should be fine . Just watch for signs of aggresion and I wouldn't add much more as far as fish go in a 75 .
