How long does it take for a snail to grow to adulthood? I bought 3 snails and one had a baby on its back. it disappeared maybe a week after i put them in. its been about 3 months now. yet i still count 3 snails. There is plenty for them to eat.

why would you have to cycle the tank if you are using precycled water from the DT?!?!

do all anenomes roam around the tank or just a few. I am planing my first anenome and was leaning towards a BTA. when I introduce it to the tank will it find a spot it likes or can I place him in a spot that i want him?

thats odd. because i have a 55 freshwater tank that i move every summer, when i go home from college and it works fine for me. I guarantee that I will do the same with my salt tank this summer too.

i would go with Anonome on this. or even if you didnt want to keep your qt up and running the entire time you could just do a water change and fill up as needed.

you could use RAW shrip to start, or what i did was put a few pounds of uncured live rock into the tank. worked just as good.

My thoughts on the smaller tank would be there would be more contact with eachother. Also, do I need to add calcium to the water or anything like this to make growth any easier?

I was at my local ***** and noticed there turbo snail tank had numerous baby snails in it. I was wondering if I took my spare 10gal and put 10 or so snails in it, will they reproduce? I thought this might be a way to save some money.

I wish I would have known about corner tanks when I was in the market for my 46. I think they are awsome! Although my bowfront is pretty cool too.
