    Red Sea Coral Pro Salt

I have always used regular Red Sea and recently bought four buckets of the Red Sea Coral Pro and just finished my first bucket. It is good salt. The alkalinity is a little low at 2.5 meq/L, but I bump it up to 4.0 meq/L with a little baking soda right before the change.

Help with cyno on sand bed?

Finding out your nitrate and phosphate levels are very important given you're battling cyano. 30 gallons every three weeks is not enough in a system that big and lacking a monster skimmer and/or a good refugium. What kind of skimmer do you have and how output do you get out of it each week...

Help with cyno on sand bed?

What are the parameters? Temperate, salinity, pH, alkalinity, ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, phosphate? You are probably feeding too much and not doing enough water changes. You either need to decrease the feeding or increase the frequency and/or volume of the water changes. What kind of sand...

    New Crocea Clam - Pic!

It is a T. crocea, some T. maxima are blue, but T. crocea have smooth shells and T. maxima have scutes on the outside of the shells.

    My 29 BioCube UPDATED PICS

P.D. your tank is looking amazing! My 90 on the otherhand was doing well, but yesterday I got the bright idea to add a modded Maxijet behind the rocks for some added flow (not that I needed it) and it fell behind my rocks and caused a sandstorm to beat all other sandstorms and all the sand...

    Largest Chiton

I think there is one called the "gumboot" chiton that lives off of the Pacific Northwest and they can get over 12" long!

    Largest Chiton

That is a big one! I had one that was about 15 mm that ate coralline algae, but I haven't seen it in months.

    Flow rate upgrade?

It is tough to have too much flow. Go with the Koralia 4s or Maxijets with Sure Flow mods you won't regret it.

Yes, sponges like that tend to grow in total darkness - under rocks or in overflows where there is no light.

    ID...Scolymia..I Thought

Not to be negative, but it looks like it is beyond saving to me. You could try cutting it in wedges like a pie and throw away the pieces that lack any coral tissue. They can regenerate into new scolymias with time.

Based off of looks alone it looks like a ball-type of sponge. If you truly see legs then it isn't a sponge.
