    Holy Mackeral!!!

Just tested my KH, PH, and Calcium. 50 gallon reef. I recently changed salts from Instant Ocean to Oceanic. KH is usually 8-9, Ph is usually 8.2. After 3 weeks and 2, 20 gallon water changes here are todays numbers.. Calcium=430 KH=4 PH=7.9 I have on hand some Seachem Reef builder, some Kent...

    My first frag

Instead of sand you should put liverock rubble in there. The shrooms will attach to the rubble and then you can glue them anywhere you want in the tank. They should attach in a week or so.

    Starting a reef tank.

A black background is good because... 1 - It looks pretty cool 2 - It hides all the hideous wires, filters, ect... that are behind the tank.

Good adhesive for gluing rock formations.

Doesn't that 5200 take like a week to dry? Plus you would have to clamp things together. I would think you would want something that dries quick? I have used that stuff before, and really didn't like it. It bonds great, but just too long to dry. You could try black windshield urethane. It...

For those of you having sucess with Xenia

I have the same problem. I have tried to grow them at least 5 times now. I always wait until I think I have everything perfect, buy them, and watch them die in less than a week or so. I can't figure it out. I will be reading this thread to see if there is something I am doing wrong also. Thanks!

    Algae Issues

You have low flow. I have a 50 gallon tank and I have almost 1500/gph of flow. You have a 125 with under 1000/gph. You should replace those tiny powerheads with a couple of big 800 gph power heads.

XRAYMAN... I don't think that is goniopora. I'm pretty sure it's Alveopora.

I need a snail ID Please...

Thanks, it does kinda resemble the shape of a Nerite, but I can't find anything even close in color. I have been looking for Nudi's and have seen nothing. I have done freshwater dips and had nothing fall off. ANYONE???? Anyone know what this snail is?

Opinions on care for a torch coral??

I just jammed it into a rock in the lower section of my tank under 1 - 150 watt MH and 2 - 65 watt PC's. It thrives. I don't feed it anything other than light. The tank gets oyster eggs and phyto once or twice a week but that's it. It is a great and easy (IMO) coral to care for...

I need a snail ID Please...

I have looked in the hitchhiker threads, but couldn't seem to find this one. I have recently been losing my Zoo colonies. They started with like a thousand polyps and now I have less than 100. Well I was spying on them tonite and came across this about an hour or two after lights out. It was in...
