    I havn't tried a clam yet, I do have 2 Frogspawns , Hammer, chile, hairmushrroms. pink tip enemone, carpet anomone,leather,zoes,and elephant ear, with all doing very well.

    If u buy a unit, make sure to look for ones that have idividual reflector for each bulb. you get more lighting this way. You are also right very little temp diffence whey they are on. I noticed that u are from East Hampton, Ct. I used to live right beind the hathway inn next to the lake.

    hello, did your light unit come with fans. If so they should still come on even if the light ballast went. Did u try a plug that u knew worked. Most surge protectors have a resent button, did this work. I would even try plugging something in the protector that u know works. This would help cross...

    I was just reading your problem, just a question, do you use ro water or tap. If it's city water thy flush out every so often and put more additive in the water which your coral differently would not like. :thinking:

    they need no light, so having mimunim lighting is okay, the hardest part is they must be target feed. Use the cup method it works the best.

    hello, I have a five stage unit. The only thing I would change is getting the bigest holding tank u can order. It will save time with water changes. Also get a good tupperware container. U can then use that for storage.

    I do the same thing. I found that using a turkey baster works well. I just put a small amount of water in it and line up the pellets. then just spot feed. works great, and cheap to. :thinking:

    How regulary do you clean?

    Hello. I have a canister filter, I clean it every two weeks. They can harbor a nitrate load if your not careful. I also clean my powerheads and skimmer every other weekend, The skimmer cup gets washed out every day.

    food with gel binder

    i bought the same stuff, not real impressed with it. I tried soaking it, but to would just sit in the tank without dissloving. I finally had the smash it up on a plate before giving it to the fish. didn't like the product.

    chili coral

    I have two of them. I feed mine at night. they come out after about 1/2 hours when olny the artinic lights are on. They really puff ou when the are feeding, during the day they almost look dead. goodluck with them.

    frogspawn question

    jsut about two weeks. the tenicles open but are very small. I have tries spot feeding him also. I believed the t-5 lights were strong enough for this coral.

    I recently purchased a frogspawn. I had him under med light (t-5's 4bulb 10k sunlight) with med water flow. The LFS suggested this location. He hasn't been happy, Where are they the happist ? All my other coral and anomones are doing fine. Any help would be great. :help: :help:

    I read your post, then ran to my tank and feed my carpet a whole shrimp. I didn't think they would eat that much. I had been feeding it krill. He sucke that thing in like a kid with a hershey bar.
