It's not paranoia if they really are out to get you.

    Dead seahorse

I would love a Pipefish. Can they be in a reef tank or do they have the same requirements as Sea hoses? Really sorry to hear about your loss Flower. I think you have enough experience now for a nano tank. Maybe a 20 gallon with Pygmies could work for you.

    aptasia?

They are very common. The Hydroid stage attaches to hard objects like a piece of live rock. They easily survive shipping and curing and a cycle.

    Looks like a Hydroid Jellyfish.

    First time raising fry

They will appear silvery the night they hatch so you do get warning. Don't shine any lights on them the night they hatch or they will not hatch that night. There's a thread around called something like Raising Clownfish 101, it was pretty good but I can't seem to find it anymore. What are the...

diet recommendations for my tank please

I've always made my own. Mince up seafood choices in a blender with water, pour into an ice cube tray, and freeze. The amount of food per serving can be controlled by how much water you add to the blender. To feed you just plop a cube into the tank.

diet recommendations for my tank please

Frozen Cyclop-Eeze would be an excellent replacement for the flaked food. Have you considered making your own fish food?

    New 75g Reef Tank

OK, I see now. I'm just not used to adding the refugium to the return. For the ball valves I have on my pool I built a wrench of sorts to turn them. Maybe you could make something like that to help turn that ball valve. I used about 3' of 2" PVC with a "T" at the top and 6" of PVC on each...

    New 75g Reef Tank

Looks to me like the gate valve is going to the refugium and the ball valve is for draining water from the tank. No?

I had thought Chocolate Stars were carnivores. Would they eat a piece of clam or scallop?

    New guy with 55g questions

1 - Yes, severely. You easily have three times the number of fish I would suggest. 2 - How successful was the Seaclone 100? As a guess I'd say it would be better to save for a better skimmer. 3 - Most corals would not survive the conditions of an overstocked system. There are some that can...

    It can be both.

    Removing sump epoxy glass guide

Don't worry about getting all of the silicon off the glass, first just focus on cutting away the skimmer. Then it will be easy to scrape off the remaining silicon with the skimmer gone. Sometimes you can even just pull it off once you get it started.

Any small bit of seafood will work. Snakeblitz33 suggested just using the discarded shrimp tails in his article for example. A small piece of prawn every day or so is perfect.

Yes, I mean ghost feed. Another prawn would work somewhat but it really does work a lot better to do small steady feedings. About the same amount of food you're going to feed your first fish.

Remember you need to continue to feed the bacteria even after ammonia drops to zero. This is probably THE most common mistake new hobbyists make. Ammonia going to zero means that you now have a good sized bacteria colony of the type of bacteria that consume ammonia. If the ammonia (food)...

    Snake's Guide to Cycling

I'm also a fan of "if it works for you keep doing it". Just because I don't understand how it could benefit a large water change doesn't mean there isn't a benefit.
