Does this statement imply that you have never changed the water in your tank since 7/01/11? The physical or evaporation proses of removal should have nothing to do with it. In both cases a specific amount of water is removed and replaced. As far as I know nitrates are remove during evaporation...

We as hobbyists have to remember that we are attempting to do the impossible. We could never replicate the time line of anything taken from the ocean and placed into a closed system. There are just too many variables involved. I think all we can do is strive to provide the best quality of life...
