Depending on how many feeds you have going back into your DT. Buy some large fine mesh fish nets get someone to help you and hold the nets in front of the feeds back into your DT to catch the matter before it disperses

IMO the bottom line is simply this. We are ultimately responsible for which fish we attempt to keep in our aquariums. With that responsibility comes the moral obligation to give that fish the best opportunity to survive for the longest possible time frame in a closed system.

Ok on a FYI note. The term Refugia was first coined by Dr. Walter Adey of the Smithsonian institute to describe a body of water separate but connected to the main DT where plants and animals can develop without fear of other predators

With all due respect this hobby is not something to get into on a whim. Get yourself a good book and see what is involved I personally got involved with meozer on a whim and I am still paying the price
