If you're going mh I would just put 3 250w 14k bulbs in and thats it, no need for the t5 IMO. The 250's are plenty of light for a 180.

You should test Calcium: 350-450, alkalinity: 9-12 dKh, and pH: 8.0-8.4. I would try to get you trate down to around 20 or less too. Also, you're testing for salinity too aren't you? That should be 1.025-1.026.

Something could be picking on it, what else is in the tank with it?

If thats what you want to keep, then I think PCs would be enough. Current has a 12" PC fixture, I've never seen a 12" T5 fixture.

Is it just bubbles or is it like an algae? It sounds like its just air bubbles that have stuck to the rock, you could probably just rub them off.

yes, there is a good chance the copperband could nip at your corals.

Whats your salinity and ammonia? It is best to drip acclimate inverts because they are more sensitive then fish or corals to changes in water conditions.
