I'm selling my tank because I bought a 270 and need to get rid of it. The dimensions are 84"Lx25"Tx18"D. Also with the tank comes the stand, hood and 2 floresent lights.

My 165 has a piece of glass in the center that is about a foot wide for support and my new one has 2 plastic beams across cutting the tank into 3 sections.
I got a 270 gal glass tank today. I got it for 1000. I think that is a good price and I get to pay in payments. I'll be posting pics of the build of the stand, the setup and transfer from my other 165 gal tank.
It was going to be a fish only with some sharks and tangs. I figure it is going to take atleast 6-8 people to move this thing. The guy isn't returning my calls and said he was going to call me tonight but haven't heard anything yet. I went and look at my buddies shop and he has a 270 glass...
Thanks for the help. I'll tell him that he should make the live rock have lots of caves and more on oneside then the other so the shark also has room to swim. But first case we need to remove his fire shrimp because those would be the first to go.
They always say a certain amount for rock but you have to figure in that not all rock way the same. I have a piece that ways about 10 lbs and is about 16"x8"x8" and that just about takes up half of my 55 gal. I would chose and pick your rock.
Well should I get it? It is for a glass custom built 500 gal tank, the stand, and the bio filter for $2000. He said the guy payed $11,000 for the tank and $5000 for the filter. The prices he payed I think are a little high.
If it sounds like a gargle just wad a piece of filter pad up and put it in the top of pipe were the water is sucked down to the wetdry. I had to do this also.
I don't have the room to go wider or deeper so it would have to go taller. My tank now is 18Dx25Tx84W and the new tank would be 24Dx48Tx84W. This is my wish but he wife said I have to get rid of some of my othe tanks and I said no problem.LOL. ---- I'll combine them all into 1.:D
I'm not to worried but where they sleep I think is the problem because a couple sleep in the open along the bottom and I was thinking the shark comes out to feed at night more then likely. He'll have to rearrange the rock also to give the shark some more room to swim and he does have sand we...
My buddy has a 240 with with a 4" Naso, 4" Sailfin, 4" Hippo, 3" Purple Tang, a 3" Maroon Clow, and a 3" Flame Angel. He was thinking of adding a Banded Cat Shark that is about 15". Do you think it would bother the fish at all?
