    I have several different colors and species of rics for years...never seen any split ( not saying they dont ) but have had many produce buds from under their base. Some do it more often than other and some have never reproduced.

    I have kept mine now for 6 years and never has it bothered my snails or cleaner or pistol shrimps or anything that I cared about in my reef. I dont keep crabs. I hate crabs.

    I agree, flat worm. They are photosynthetic and dont really hurt unless they get out of hand and shade too much light from the corals. Pick them out of the tank as you see them and hope they dont get out of hand like they often can do.

    IME, its highly unlikely a CBBF will eat the Ric. Might not even eat the aptaisia. A CBBF is not an easy fish to keep and if you have not researched keeping that fish then please dont get one just for apt. control.
