How about a fox coral. You could keep it on the sand bed in a bit of shade with your MH lighting. These are easy to keep, not too expensive(picked one up notto long ago for $40) and nice looking , IMO.
Thanks for your response. Its not too powerful for that size tank? Just seems 400 gph is alot, but i have heard that is not a full stream, it has a wide flow pattern. Does this seem to be true?
Hay everyone, do you think a Hydor Koralia 1 will work in a 38g mixed reef? I am having a hard time deciding between the Hydor Koralia nano and the Hydor Koralia 1 model. I currently run a maxijet 900(230gph) and a maxi jet 400 (106 gph). I am replacing the 400. I don't want everything whipping...
Hmmmm, i don't know, but let me know when you find out, so i can get rid of mine! Man, this stuff spreads MUCH faster than my Xenia does. At least i can trade my xenia back to LFS for credit.
Well, you could change out the SA or a Blue+ and add a ATI Aquablue(i beleive they run 11,000k)or a GE 6500k and try your bulbs like this:
Blue+
Aquasun (or Aquablue or 6500k)
Aquablue (or 6500k or Aquasun)
Blue+
This should get you a whiter look with less blue.
HI, i didn't notice, but what kind of lighting are you running on your tank? It looks very natural! I run 4x t-5 and am looking for the same lighting scheme as you.
thanks
I've had mine for a few months and it opens and closes regularly now but i remember at first it acted like yours. I would think it should open in the next few days or so. It usually takes a few days for these guys to get used to your lighting and flow.
