I feel bad letting all the waste RO/DI water go down the drain, what can I use it for? Obviously not planning on drinking it, but can I use it to water plants? Since the 'good' water is being seperated from this waste water, are there higher concentrations of chemicals per gallon? Just curious...

Thanks for the responces! According to the display I have 001 out of the RO and 000 out of the DI. Before I bought my unit I called my towns water department, they said the average water pressure it usually between 60 - 80, so I was crossing my fingers I was not in some wierd low area.

I called HD, they said they had 4 'in-stock' but when they went to actually look for them they could not find them. I called my town, they said typical water pressure is between 60 & 85 PSI. I am going to take my chances and see what happens!

How can I tell if I have enough water pressure for an RO unit? They make ones with pumps in case your town does not have enough pressure, but how do you know? Can I call my town? Is there a pressure meter I can buy? Thanks!
