Coralife Pure-Flo II RO Units - any good ?

Coralife Pure-Flo II RO Units - Are they are good? They are on the less expensive side, but people are giving them good product reviews, and they are about $100 less than most other systems. I was thinking of getting the 4-stage 50gpd unit in particular. I already have an API tap water filter...

RO vs DI water - the difference ?

So, what "impurities" does an RO system remove that a DI only system does not? If a DI filter does such a good job why run a RO system? Does an RO system reduce dissolved solids? If so, how do they negativly affect a system?

RO vs DI water - the difference ?

So what can RO water provide me with DI water can not? I have an API 'tap water filter' that I use, from what I can tell the water is great that comes out of it. I have 0 phosphates, nitrates, nitrites when I test it before it goes into the tank. What does RO remove that DI does not? I still...

fair deal? i dont think so

If you take his deal I have a lot of deals for you! He needs to replace the fish at HIS cost and re-ship it at HIS cost as well. I would not pay a dime for a fish that died so fast, well not unless it was due to my mistake.

    Pink Tip Haitian Anemone ?

Pink Tip Haitian Anemone - Good or bad in a reef tank? I have read it both ways, I was curious what all of you think? On a side note, I am so EXCITED that I finally have my tank set-up and stable! It was tricky due to the location, access, and how I wanted to have it set up. It has been up and...

Light for a 110 gallon tall aquarium?

I have the same tank and needed to upgrade my lighting from old 75g CF fixture because of the extra depth. After countless posts on here, and talking to different 'experts' it was concluded that I needed Metal Halides. (This is my specific situation because I want to be able to keep any coral I...

    Hair Algae Eaters? (Fish)

Ok, so I am thinking 3 Yellow Tangs, 1 Lawnmower Blenny, and 3 Mexican Turbo Snails. Is 3 the right number for the Mexican Snails or can I safely max out their 1 per 20g rating and do 5? Thanks!

    Hair Algae Eaters? (Fish)

I have heard tangs and lawnmower blenny, are there anymore? I already have emerald crabs, but they never seemed to do...

    Never again...hopefully!

So I had a hair algae problem when I set up the tank, my stupid fault. Anyway, switched to DI water, and made a few other changes but there was so much algae that even though my water was now good the dead was feeding the living and it was a cycle that I could not stop. So, out came ALL the LR...
