I had the same thing happen to me, and in time the little ones just moved. Some jumped off the rock totally, but some just slid over enough for them to be happy.

I changed my schedule a little. I wait to turn them on until 8:00 am instead of 7:00 and I try turning them off at 6:00 instead of 7:00. It seems to help. My tank is looking much better and not as much algae on the glass.

I had an easy time getting the fan for my 12 gal. I had my original book though and called them. I'm not sure if that matters or not. If you don't have your book go on line and I think it is Current that does the aquapods. You should e able to find replacement parts there.

I had too much on my intake and I wasn't getting enough water in the pump chamber to cover the pump so I scratched it off with my knife. B ut i didn't try scraping the whole back. I didn't care if it had layers unless it effected the tank.

I tested it when I got home with plain RO water and it was fine. It was worth every penny. When I first heard people talking about them, it sounded like you had to be some kind of scientist to be able to read them. I can't believe it is soooo easy!! I am still working on getting my SG down.

It drives me crazy!! I scrape it off the glass almost weekly. So how do you get it off your glass without scraping it?

I'm not sure what a surface skimmer is, but it did come with a little gadget that I'm sapose to put in front of something, but I didn't do it. I kinda looks like a plastic comb. I don't know what it does. I guess I should read about it.
