    yes he will eat shrimp plus my wife likes little docile fish so i dont want to run the risk of him picking off one of her precious. lol Id never hear the end of it even though they are not very aggressive.

    ah thank you for that tidbit of info. The tusk is one of my favorite fish that i can not have. My tank is a reef and I cannot afford to have the tank it would take to house them properly. of course if i leave it up to my wife I could have one. Thats how you get a puffer in your reef tank as well.

    you are probably going to have problems with the eclipse filter. i know we went through three impellers before we upgraded our tank because of it .

    all clams filter feed. But they are very dependent on lighting i would not try them without t-5s at a minimum croceas are a very light demanding clam and prefer to be on the rockwork derasa are one of the lowest light demanding clams as is the squamosa and prefer a sandy bottom .

    you may want a type of air filter for your face .that sand is probably not going to smell too hot. I had broken down a neglected 55 and it was pretty awful.

    Blue throats are reef safe. and i believe the pink tail is as well. I had a blue throat in my reef for a while but he quickly outgrew his home. Very cool fish with good personality

    the aussie tusks have a brighter coloring and a bit more blue in them. if you see them side by side you can easily tell which one is an aussie .
