I would make sure you have a good base. I used Natures Ocean Live Sand and it worked well. Try and get some good cured live rock , approx 1lb per gallon of water. This will help you cycle the tank. Or you can get a couple of green chromis and put in about half the live rock with the live sand...

I think I would do it now, add the live sand and you can try it with the damsels in there, but beware they are known to be very territorial especially after you put them through the cycle. I heard they can get kinda grumpy. --Andy

I used 20lbs Natures ocean and 50lbs of Southdown sand and it worked really well. I like it a lot, and would recommend it to anyone. It almost has the same shelf life of a Hostess Twinky. (9 months)
