Cut down feeding to one time a day......and you can skip a day here and there......won't hurt at all. How long are the lights on for? And....add more cuc. Turbo snails, nassarius snails, astreas. they all work well for this.

i think it matters if they are well fed, the size of your tank, and how big they are when you get them.....

I would go with your gut on this one. If you put all that time and energy into it and then can't maintain it because of school and other necessary evils then it ends up being kind of a waste. I would wait until you have a bigger system and more time.
