So I haven't posted on my thread in a while so I thought I would give some updates.
Not much has changed honestly. Summertime is super expensive for me so I haven't really spent anything, plus I went to Vegas for the the week for my birthday on the 21st.
I am just kind of letting everything...
If your tank is very large you might be able to get away with it. When I say large I mean like 100 gallons or more at least. The problem is that they can start chemical warfare to try and kill each other. They will alo kill everything else in the tank though. You are better sticking with just...
One of the best things I have found to do is actually turn my pumps off for about an hour when I am feeding the tank. Then everything has a chance to eat before it gets sucked into the filter. I use about half the food I did before using this method and all the fish get more than enough to eat...

Yes. It is absolutely necessary...in fact, they normally do not do well...
There are two ways to go about this.
You can try to get the clown healthy so that he fights it off. This somwtimes times works but you will always always have ich in your tank. IMO and IME this is the wrong way to do it because anytime anything goes badly in your tank, the fish will get...
wow, that is a lot of calcium dosing.....i only do my tank like once a week if it needs it. you are definitely overdoing it. have you noticed any white powdery stuff in your tank?
Meowzer, you have multiple clown gobies in your tank?? i wanted to get a citron, black and yellow to go with my green but someone had mentioned that they will fight so i was afraid to do it......Have you noticed this??
to the OP, my clown goby will sit on my hand at feeding time and let me pet...
Definitely use the search engine on this one. You will be able to see not only how they work but how to build and incorporate one into your current tank.
Basically it is just a separate tank to help process out all the bad stuff using macroalgaes and a deep sand bed and sometimes some inverts.
Wow, congrats!!!! the key is a varied diet here. krill, squid, snails, shrimp, crabs......you can get some live crustaceans from the lfs for him to forage for and then hand feed him the frozen stuff. Definitely soak them in vitamins.
Has he been going after any of your corals???? I think you wre the one that was asking advice right? i am really interested in getting one if they are more reef safe than we thought.
As for the spots, keep a very very close eye on the them. If he gets anymore or any behavior changes or anything...
The sunpod will allow you to keep anything in the tank that you want. If you go with the T5 which is what I have, you will be limited in the sense that you can't have most SPS, save maybe some montiporas. And you are limited to only bubbletip anemones. With the sunpod, you can have anything that...
Nah.....I would imagine just get your test kits ready to see if there is a cycle. and then as you get ready to add corals and fish, start dosing for calcium, iodine, etc. or anything else you are low on.
I think that you will be very happy with the 1 and 2. I definitely wish I had gotten two 1's...

I haven't ordered the Koralia yet cause ...well all I had was sand and water...tomorrow there will be rock sand and water..LOL...I will order the new Koralia probably next...
yes. you should definitely treat all of your fish. tangs are prone to showing it first but if they have it all of your fish do, guaranteed.
You could do a freshwater dip but if you are qt all of them then you really don't need to do that and stress them more.
Dendrophyllia is very similar to sun corals except they stay open during the day as well. they are not really very photosynthetic so you do have to spot feed them and apparently the more you feed, the faster they grow.....
IDK about the light thing....I think you were right on actually Meowzer. I have a T5 with only 24x2 and I have a bubbletip that is doing great and you would have twice as much light as me so.......I think you are fine. With the powerheads I would go with a koralia 1 and 2.
