    Sepia bandensis - Dwarf Cuttlefish

Only took a month.. finally got the little ones to eat some frozen mysis. Unfortunately 1 of them decided to eat his roommates. He now resides in a seperate nursery alone, and is about twice the size of the other 2 that are left. Over the holidays the mail was running really slow and I wasn't...

    cycle questions

Don't do water changes until the cycle balances out and your tests show nothing but nitrates. Otherwise you're just wasting water and pro-longing the cycle. From the looks of it the cycle is reaching its peak. Just let it do its thing, top it off occasionally, then worry about balancing out the...

whats the ideal number of starfish?

The major carnivorous stars can be problematic. Bahama, chocolate chip, etc. Brittles and serpents shouldn't munch clams. The sand sifting star will eventually starve to death, once your sandbed is completely devoid of all beneficial micro-fauna. I have like 4 serpents/brittles in each of my...

What breed of dog would you choose??

Big dogs, small dogs, I like all dogs. We have a broad range of sizes and personalities in our home. 9lb Chihuahuah/Pug (Chug) up to 105lb Great Dane. Shelters aren't good places to work at when you're a treehugging sucker. My dream dog is the Cane Corso. Something amazing about a dog much...

    Jellyfish

Can I keep Jellyfish at home ? Yes and No, it depends on who you talk to. A few things for sure, you obviously need a source of jellyfish and you need a specific system to hold them, as well as, a regular supply of planktonic food. The truth is that jellyfish are NOT easy to keep, and only...

    bobtail squid

You're more likely to win the lottery than find a bobtail squid for sale. If you go to Hawaii you can collect them in the shallows, but they aren't found anywhere in the continental USA, and they aren't collected for sale.
