This seems to be a good sign that your anemone is eating. It's just "pooping" out all of its waste. And, it wont hamr your tank, just help it. Most fish like to eat this mucus. Hope i helped!

HMM. the xenia heads falling off...im pretty sure that that means the xenia is under lots of stress with something in the water. Most of the time, it is alk and iodine. These tend to really affect the xenia, esspesially the iodine. Iodine does seem to do something that the xenia doesnt like...

NO. xenias need more light than that. Yes, SOME xenias can be kept with NO lighting. The sea horses may kill it since they do like to grab onto things with there tail. Try to grow some in your main tank, if it does grow successfully, then you could try to put it in the sea horse tank and see how...

So you have 280wts total. AM i correct? If i am, that is about 2-3 wts per gallon. That is OK to have mushrooms, all soft corals, all leathers, hammers, bubbles, etc. An anemone, maybe... I would say, yes. Make sure you give it as much lighting as posible, and feed it once every week! A BTA...

Just to tell you, one will start to grow really fast, and one will not grow. The female tends to be much bigger than the male, and the male, is a tiny little guy. If this continues for about 1-2 more weeks, they are likly mating. If it stops ina about 3 more days, they just want to get there...

That explains a lot now... About the pulsing, if they are not pulsing as much, that is normal. Sometimes they do it for no reason. Nobody knows why, they just do. And about the rocks, not sure. I thought you meant the xenias were touching the rocks <img src="graemlins//confused2.gif"...

The grabing other rocks is not a start of splitting. Now, you said they were not pulsing. That means that your alk is too low. I have had a xenia before, it died after 3 weeks. The only thing i know of is water changes. If you do do water changes, make sure the water that you are using has a low calcium(400-430) to get it down a bit faster. Im sure about the water changes, but i know there is something else that i cant remember...
