I think 2 of those cheapo walmart clip on fans should lower it down to like 80-82. I'd clip one on canopy and have it blow across the water and one on your sump and have it blow acroos the water to.:D

If you can afford it go with te metal halides know because most everybody ends buying them a few months down the line and you end up wasting more money because you bought the pc setup, so just do it right the first time. Any soft corals should do fine in your tank along with a few lps like brains.:D

I have a handfult of sps, a bunch of lps, and sofites and When I stared adding lps and softies with my sps I only noticed that the acros growth was stunted but monties and millies didn't seem to care much at all. But thats just Ime... I second what viper said about running carbon and water...

I add Dt's and cyclopeeze here and there.:D

You can feed your frogspawn more meaty foods such as krill and silversides if you want it to grow faster and that goes for all lps. Most lps are pigs the more you feed them the more they eat and the more they grow.:D

Your frogspawn will do fine under pc's of appropriate wattage for your tank. Yes you can mix sps,lps, and softies. In my 46g. I keep a lot of sps at the top to keep away from softies and lps and then put the lps and softies in the middle and down to the bottom along with some clams.:D

Also just a tip if you havent bought the 55g. tank yet I'd bump it up to a 75g. it 48'' long to like the 55g. but taller and wider and is a lot better for aquascaping and there is alot more fish that you can put ina 75g. that get to big for a 55g.:D

Just an opinion but I'd get a better return pump even a mag drive. The caps have never worked good for me. In fact I just pulled one out of my parents 75g. that was shorting out and putting electricity into my tank. I picked it up and it shocked the crap out of me. All the livestock was fine...
