    calcium dosing

    Use Seachem Reef Complete. It's all I ever dose in my tank. A few capfuls with my weekly water changes (using Reef Crystals salt) and my calcium stays between 420-460 and alk is always stable.

    Is it wise to buy fish from places like craigslist or so on.

    I prefer to buy used items from people on my local reefers forums. You get a better sense of their reputations and bad reps get around.

    I like a canopy. We're paying so darn much for these lights (MHs/T5s), why not keep all the light directed into the tank?
