well, a few factors can play a role in this. i had the same problem for a while. do you use crushed coral sand? reverse osmosis water? do you have porous rock? frequent water changes? how many fish/inverts do you have? and last but not least, do you have a good skimmer?

yeah i agree t5 wrk great(have em on my 55g) but you just cant get the beatutiful shimmer like you do with hqi.lol. besides i dont know about everyone else but there is no heat issues on my tanks where i live.

i would get a 70w halide for it so then you can keep pretty much whatever you want.
