    Brown Sps

im not sure why pinstipe has brown corals with mh lighting. but corals are more of a brown yellow in lower lighting. thats why most corals in real reefs are brown and yellow (yes, good mh does provide more intense lighting than the sun). the reason that they look brown is because the...

    WHats going on here?

you need to upgrade to a 6x54 watt with indivdual reflectors or a 2x 150 mh system to support an anemone. its probably too late for this one.

    Nano Tank Sump?

im sorry, but i dot completely understand what your saying. who is they and what kind of nano tank are you talking about (brand or just a small tank). live rock, or more often live rock rubble is put in the sump for aditional biological filtration. rubble is used because it provides more surface...

    What kind of BTA??

its not that there are set colors, like there is one shade of green, red, brown, etc. when you say rbta, it is a general term meaning that it is some shade of red/purple/pink. also, about the tips of it, that is a rare mutation. there's someone on the forums with a green bta with orange tips.

    Anemones Questions....

wait a few months before you get an anemone (i also agree with an rbta, theyre more expensive, but look cooler than regular btas). your lights are fine for an anemone, and anything else you would want to get. also, if you do at all, dont feed your anemone often. they can grow very fast and take...

Help On Picking My Fish For 135g

just a rule for the forums, never listen to slackjawed. also, triggers do snap, but only usually agressive ones. you can keep the niger and bluethroat, but avoid the clown IMO. the problem with opinions on SWF is that no two fish are the same, s you will always get arguments when you ask...

Will these baffles be ok to use ?

1/16 of an inch isnt really something you can get mad about. every time you make a cut with a table saw it shortens the overall length of the two things by about an quarter to eigth of an inch. 1/16 was much closer than what i got when i cut mine. filling the gap with silicon works fine

    Fish compatibility and acclimation q's?

i really wouldnt recomend fw fish in a sw tank. i know it can be done, but it really does shorten the fish's lifespan and stress them out. anyways, why bother with a sw tank for fw fish
