just out of curiosity, how big of a tank do you think a kole needs?

i was actually about to post the exact same question for my (55g) tank. I was going to see if I could get a kole tang. unluckily, I don't really have the money to upgrade, so are there any other good centerpeice fish?

No, horseshoe crabs are horseshoe crabs. Any kind you find will get big. Sorry, but a 24g is much too small

yeah, I agree with fisher here. trigger cant stop themselves from picking at the fins. if the lion seems distressed or his fins look frayed, then pull either the lion or triggers out.

clownfish don't have scales. whatever you're seeing is probably bare flesh

I'm looking at what i want to put in my CUC and I was wondering just how often and how likely hermit crabs, specifically scarlet and blue legs, would kill snails. Also, I was curious as to how effective CUC members they are.

the 1-3 inches thing is the purchase size. whatever said that tank requirements is sick (sorry if its SWF). IMO, a blue tang shouldn't be in anything smaller than a 100 and a yellow shouldn't be in anything smaller than a 75. sorry, but you can't keep any tangs in there.

I'm setting up my first fish saltwater tank and when I put the substrate (crushed coral) in, it obviously got cloudy. Should I turn on the protein skimmer, powerheads, etc., or should I just let everything settle over the next few days? thanks

hey, i'm just starting up a 55g tank plus 20g sump and i was looking at the packages on swf. on the 20-55 one it said brittle starfishes. are they talking about the green ones or the non-predatory ones thanks for the help
