the only thing i would really worry about would be the foam caving in cuz of the water weight. so there would have to be some type or support within the foam.

what about if you take a 2" peice of blcak insulation foam. put that on the bottem of the tank. then put glass over the top of that. seal it off and make it like a 20"er or so. probly have to paint the foam or something so it dont look funny. you could also sell it/trade it for the 50g.

hmmm. i dont realy think you would have a problem. when i lived at home with my parents i had a 90g in my room. second story with basement. and i didnt have any problems. so i really dont think you would. if your doing 2 20's then that would equal 1 40g w/out sump so i say go bigger if possible...

i probly wouldnt recommend them with corals for the reason that they might knock over the corals for the most part. i love them they are so much fun to watch. Rotory was the one that talked e out of them a while ago in another post.

then make sure your basement is suited to hold that much weight. i think SW weights like 7lbs per gallon if i remember right.

they also like to pick on the snails for there shells. even if you have like +30 just laying around they want the one the snail is in.

i got a better idea. you could buy a plain ticket once a months for a few years fly to chicago for the day. go the the shed aqureum, fly back the same day and get a nice experence with SWF. jk im guessing you spend more then that 10 Grand that is. you probly are looking at like $2000 for lighs...
