Blue Hippo Tang addition after Yellow tang?

Sure. You're going to need the extra money anyways to go towards the reef. :) I should know. Get into your lfs or find out if anyone near you keeps corals. That is the best way to get your hands on cheap frags rather than 50-80 pieces at the store....

    Atlantic Blue Tang??

I like the pacific yellows to an extent but they do color morph as they get older if i remember correctly. They loose the blue and turn yellow some. Not as vibrant yellow as a hawaiin yellow tang though..... Make sure you like that aspect before getting one. Otherwise they are pretty much...

Blue Hippo Tang addition after Yellow tang?

And i don't disagree with you at all but Aquaworld may or may not have experience enough to properly put one in their tank without a major risk to their existing setup. Like i said if you set up a QT tank before buying one then ok try the tang. I personally would not add one to such an...

Blue Hippo Tang addition after Yellow tang?

Well i understand that you can keep babies in smaller tanks. I've seen a small purple tang in a 20 gallon and he seemed comfortable. Yes they do grow very slowly. Yes it would take years for them to be out of place in a 75. But also remember that a fish in the wild full life would live just...

    WHat is this?

Looks like either a limpet or a sundial snail. Is he cone shaped, does he have a distinct point at the top of the shell? If yes he's the limpet otherwise he's the sundial. Limpet are sometimes known to eat corals. Most times they just eat algae. I woudln't worry about him unless you see...

    Automatic lights?

Just to add putting your lights on timers is the best thing you can do for your fish :) Gives them a day and night. Two different tanks.....

Blue Hippo Tang addition after Yellow tang?

I Woudln't They don't do well in anything less than a 120 generally. They also do best in a reef type environment. Don't know if you have that. If you are interested in a colorful fish that would fit in your tank quite nicely try looking into the dwarf angels. They are varied and very pretty.

    Pyramid snails

Interesting. I wonder if I have the tamer ones. I've never seen one of the pyramids bigger than a mm or 2. You said 6mm which is quite big.... None of mine seem to be growing in size but i think they may be growing in quantity a bit if VERY slowly.

If i remember right you have 3 already. They looked way bigger than the bonnet. My guess is this will be your last shark in this tank till one dies?

    MH question again sooo tired

if you want to be safe start them at and hour a day. Are you going to run all 4 vho's? Run them the same amount you have now. Start the halides an hour or so after the vho's come on. Then increase the halides by 30 minutes every 5-7 days based on the reaction of your corals. Noting if they...

    Pyramid snails

You know i have those snails. They prey on other snails? I usually see them lights going out or coming on. They usually have specs of sand on them like they came out of it. I also see them eating algae on the glass. BUT i've never seen them trying to eat another snail nor have i noticed a...

Nice. Looks like a mini hammer head. How big will he get? When you get tired of sharks try schools of fish :)

    Air stone ok?

It hurts inverts because they trap the airbubbles in their system and the bubbles end up killing them. If you plan on keeping corals i would not use the airstone. Just fish then ok.... If you think about it bubbles just don't exist in vast quantities if at all in the ocean.

    MH question again sooo tired

Trickle: yeah you are going to have to remedy that somehow. Either go canopyless and stick the light on some legs above the water or buy a new canopy. I think the typical all glass canopies are oak yes....

GAME... guess this coral close up...

They are similar if not the same. Corals i've seen labeled pagodas tend to have a more irregular shape and not the nice cup shape the others have.
