    What fish should I get

Hi Skyman! I'm not into agressives, but I do have one comment about your setup. The TV above the tank might not be the best way to go. Saltwater evaporation could find you replacing that equipment in short order. :scared: Also in my opinion, black sand will detract from the tank. White sand...

how many fish can i have??

It is a shame you did not ask this question before you got your lionfish. If your lionfish is a dwarf (we hope) then your tank is a squeeze for him when he is full grown ( 5 or 6 inches). He will eat fish smaller than himself, and you don't really have the room to get another fish that will...

    It's Not a "Huma Huma"

Also just googled the meaning of humuhumunukunukuapua'a and it means "trigger fish with a pig like snout". Perhaps that name applies to any trigger native to the Hawaiian waters?

    It's Not a "Huma Huma"

Had to share.. I bought this TShirt for my oldest daughter when we lived there in Maui about, oh, 20 years ( :scared: ) ago. I had no idea that the fish had fallen out of favor as the "State Fish"! And, consequently, no idea it had been reinstated. I find it funny the coloring this artist chose...

    aggressive clown tankmate

You can also try rearranging your rockwork to remove the clown's comfort zone. (Do this while you are acclimating the new guy.) Be sure there are places for both fish to hide for a while. Leave the lights off when you add the new one in, overnight is fine. When they come back out, the clown will...

    Pod breeding

...they also breed quite well in a canister filter sleeve! I hate to clean the canister for that very reason. Also for that very reason, today when I clean the can. I will not be replacing the sleeve, but will be adding seagrass, another great breeding ground that I won't eventually have to...

    Cycle

Well, it's about a 36% change, if you use ALL from the 125. I would agree with dmjordan. If you keep all changes within that % range. What a great moment, though! If you have kept these fish for 4 years, I'm sure they are healthy and ready for the move.

    Lol

I grabbed a rock and must have surprised a bristle, this was about 2 weeks ago. When I held my finger to the light, we could see the bristles stuck there. It was painful for a week! A lot like touching a lotus tree branch.
