    pet store ICH

Treating a fish with copper and putting him in a tank without copper will not spread the copper at all unless you use the LFS water, which is y you NEVER use the LFS water. It will take away the treatment for the ich and the ich COULD come back. Thus y THEY need a QT tank. I understand the...

    how "established" is my tank

Sounds like you are going good. What are you wanting that needs something established? It can take months for pods and algaes to grow sufficiently. I know it took several months for my base rock to turn live.....

    Hard ones versus Softies

Hmmm. 3 Months of Xenia in my tank with sps and i haven't noticed anyone stressed. I think SOFT corals are culprits with chem warfare. Polyps and shrooms are considered invertabrets and will sting other corals. Then again i've seen certain giant leathers in tanks with sps.

    overfeedin a porc puffer

Its possible to over feed any fish but very unlikely they will die from eating to much. He's probably just digesting right now and being lazy. They do that from time to time. Try to ween him off of feeder fish they are not his natural fare and could do more harm then good in the long run....

    woh fast cycle

I had no cycles with the 2 tanks i set up. I added a fish in both after a week and never got any noticable readings. BUT i also didn't add more than that beyond some hermits and shrimp to clean up the tank too for a month.... If you really must get something some hermits would be good to...

    Lighting for 29 gallon reef

Its at least 60 dollars without a bulb. So its gonna cost you at least 80. I bought a dual flourescent bulb upgrade for a 12 gallon and it cost me 50 dollars i think. Bulbless. You may want to try buying a DIY kit. They are relatively easy you just need to make sure it fits in the eclipse lid.

    55gal update..

Then i would wait till you actually get the 180. Sharks don't like moves. Its hard enough to get one to live past the first couple weeks, eggs too. Just what i've seen..... I personally wouldn't try and waste my money.

I am beyond discouraged with this tank

Well here's the deal. Its possible that the ich was from the last batch of fish you had. If they died from ich then the ich could have stayed in your system for several weeks (up to 4 i think) and passed it on to your clowns who are now loosing their battle with it. Ich is very treatable and...

Lighting For All Corals and clams?

Not sure about doing clams under that BUT if you can get the right color spectrum bulb then yes you can use it. Grow bulbs are to low a spectrum. Your tank will inevitably break out in algae growth from a low spectrum.

    corraline alage best way

I don't think lights matter to much either . I've got loads of it growing under 30 watts of flourescents. Key's are Salinity of .024, calcium of 400 and some decent water flow. I think a steady flow works best. Thats where it grew most in my tanks.
