How do I build a spray bar

Get a T junction for he end of the pipe then send two ends of pvc off of that. Seal up the ends(optional) and poke holes in the pipe on each end. Make sure you have enough holes so water doesn't back up if you do seal the ends. To get the size you need i think you just have to measure the...

    More than one mandarin??

How big are the tanks? Yes you can mate them in pairs. Sometimes they can bicker sometimes not. As far as how to go about mating them i couldn't tell you. My guess is they are usually known pairs.

    newbie needs advice

Edit: oh and lots of reading material. Do your hw before buying. And you may want about 5 or 10 lbs more sand if you don't like the depth of the 25lbs.

    newbie needs advice

Yes the filtration is fine and it won't do so much filtration but turn the water over and make sure its oxygenated. Your live rock will do most of the filtration of the water due to the bacteria it harbors. You need salt, hydrometer, thermometer, net, 5 gallon bucket/gas can(indispensible)...

Whatever you do add keep an eye on the tomatoes that they don't kill the new guy. They can be super aggressive sometimes. Coral beauty, flame angel, and potter's are nice

    How Many Hours Of Lighting?

The light is great. The fans aren't that loud. The deal with them is they are sealed and held down but with your hand you can move the fan slightly, leading to a rattle potentially. Super glue down the edges and that won't be a problem. Don't not buy the light because of loudness. It won't...

    SFE in trouble?

Well. I don't know. Try posting SFE with wood in stomach and see what you get. I don't know if the wood can poison him or what. I imagine not since wood can certainly reach a reef. He may have trouble swimming through holes and such obviously. You may be able to take him to a vet and have...

    flatworms

well they are flat, duh, usually clear brownish/reddish or clear whitish. On end is rounded rectangle end while the other is two pronged tail. They aren't bad in a sense but they can be if they start multiplying to plague proportions

    How Many Hours Of Lighting?

Sounds like you are on the right track. Keep in mind that putting corals in your tank adds a whole new dimension with doseings and proper water chemistry. Don't forget to buy your additives. You have plenty of light to do quite a few different corals. Time the moonlights to come on right...

    lighting over five

PC's would be best for your tank. Try 2x13 pc's or one 28 or two. All kind of depends on your money situation. Keep in mind running lights like that over such a small tank leads to serious heat problems.

    MH lighting question

It really depends on a couple factors. How far off the surface your lights are and how hot the canopy gets. If the canopy gets warm that heat will xfer to your tank water and youll have more evaporation. If your lights are way off the water top then splashes are not something to really worry...

    How many Sand for 150?

Try 200 lbs.... I have 30 lbs in my 20. I know its alot smaller but quick math gives you 200-225 lbs. They are roughly similarly proportional too :) At least i think so.... Either way it should give you about 3 inches of sand.

    Hair Algae?

If you have hair algae there are a number of things you can do to control it. First is water quality. Make sure you only use properly buffered RO water. Second is light on time 8-10 hours a day is good. Third is don't over feed the tank. Very easy to do. Once you get those under...

    Lighting for a 75

There are alot of people here that will tell you that hards and softs should not be mixed if possible. That does not include polyps and shrooms, but distinct soft and hard corals. I don't know a whole lot about that but keep that in mind. A 175 halide will be fine enough for your tank. One...

    SFE in trouble?

Hmmm Naughty eel. If he ate it he certainly can't digest it. Its possible it may pierce his insides in which case he may die. Maybe his stomach is like a sharks and the little piece will just sit there till he dies one day. The humu will recover. All you can really do is keep an eye out...

    Too Much Live Rock?

There isn't such a thing unless you have overcrowded your tank with fish. If they can't swim a good distance in a straight line without hitting something then you have to much. Other wise what looks good is the amount you have.....

Will this work out for now?

Its certainly possible but most likely if it hasn't happened yet in a small tank like that then it won't happen at all in tha short of time.
