    Electric flame scallops

I've looked at so many vert sales sites lately but haven't seen any. Are they still obtainable? Does anybody know what I'm talking about? They're flame scallops that light up iblue nside.

    Killer Anemone?

I had a white sebae for years and I never lost a fish to it, including blennies or gobies. It would probably take days for him to eat a whole fish. After it digested it the anemone would shrink up and there'd be rings of goop coming out from around the foot.

    I thought this was interesting

I've found over the years that most of these hydrometer types inaccuracies could be attributed to user error. You must tap it to get the bubbles off of the arm. People mix up the SW with cold water and measure it, leave it overnight in a bucket with a heater, then get a completely different...

    best type of filter

I'm a big fan of AquaClears, been using them for many years. What exactly is the effect that you dont like. If you're talking about the look of the water thats flowing in, I have modified that before.

    Funny BG Chromis

Be a matador, not a cowboy. Don't chase them with the net, try challenging them with it, like a bullfighter does with his cape. I guess thats hard to describe. Sometimes I'd put a tupperware pitcher with a wide opening spout in the corner and they swim in to get away from the net. I wonder if...

    blackcap basslet

They do like meat, but maybe the crab was already dead. Charge him with abuse of a corpse until you can prove murder.

    Seahorses in a Community Tank

you forgot to say don't try this at home :joy: It's kinda hard to get enough circulation and have a spot for those guys. I think thats why people have a hard time with seahorses, they get exausted fighting the flow. Well that and people thinking they can thrive on brine shrimp only. I wonder...

HAS ANYBODY SEEN A "GEM TANG or BLACK TANG" WITH THIER OWN EYES??

I see why they're rare. They come from one little spot that isn't exactly a popular spot for ornamental fishing.

    Show fish for tank

Although I recomend that a tanks smallest horizontal measurement be 1.5 times the length of a fishes adult size, Nasos kinda don't count. They list them as 18" but I believe that would include the males streamers, the fish itself is really, in a practical sense, only 12". I've seen them at the...

    looking for a rare fish

I was thinking of a 125, whats a 120, Is that like a 110 only even taller? That would be like a picture window. I'd be afraid it would fall over.

    Annularis Angel

Without going too crazy and listing everything... A butterfly; with a moderate to bold diposition, not too ornate or trailing finnage like a threadfin (he'd probably chase it) and not too big adult size, a Raccoon or Pakistani would get too big. A Zebrasoma Tang, anything except a Sailfin would...

    Ich.....

I'd medicate everyfish in a QT and let the tank sit for 2 weeks. Medicating a tank with LR is a pain. Besides the fact that the meds that are effective on ich will kill pods and stars, etc, the rock itself will absorb an unknown amount of the medicine. Avoid water changes until about a week...

    Annularis Angel

Heres my what it will fit in formula. I start with the standard 5 gallons for 1" of adult fish, so a 10" fish needs at least 50 gallons for health. Then I consider the crowdedness, I want the smallest dimension to be no less than 1.5 times his length, so a 75 is 48"x15", and that works. I feel...

    Annularis Angel

They'd do fine in a 75, not much room for friends though. Me personally I'd want a 125+ for him. I like my fish to acheive show quality. In a 150 I'd have him and a butterfly and a tang. BTW, pictures do not do them justice, in fact how they look at the lfs doesn't either. They don't really get...
