Can you feed small tiny pieces of garlic, will they eat that? Would that prevent diseases?

holy crow, a reply. Thank you. I will have to bring a sample to the LFS for Ammonia and ites. I only have a test for PH, ates, calcium, phos, kh. Don't think I should be doing anything else huh? I used some Dt water and fresh salt water.

I don't know either. The only thing I would add is after cleaning the coral with bleach clean it and add a chlorine remover to the bucket of water. Like a water conditioner that is. This way if there is any chlorine left this will help remove it. Maybe the hair algae is growing because of...

Conusion is right....why would you take the coral out and bleach it, I would assume to clean it?

Well, I bought aragonite from the LFS and added it the refugium portion of the tank. I also bought some LR and threw in a heater and a powerhead. This is a small area which is about 8 inches by 12 inches and I am wondering if this has to cycle or not. I took a Nitrate reading from it today...

4 WEEKS? Is that true, is it best to QT a fish on a tank for 4 weeks before puttin gthem into a DT? I have an extra filter and a 15 gallon tank, maybe I should do something like this. Does it hold LS and LR or is it a bare bottom?? Also what kind of light would it require?

Want to know if I should put Aragonite or LS in Refugium. Aquarium is already established. If I do just use aragonite is it OK to rinse it under tap water, I use R/O in my tank.
