Site like this...only for fresh water tropical fish?

The inch per gallon for fresh & the inch per gallons for salt is garbage. Do not use it, it dpepends on so much more than that. Freshwater you could fit a pretty good bit of small community type fish. Saltwater you couldn't do as much, but certainley more than just a couple of clowns. Maybe 2...

    corals/reefs/livesand

I've seen saltwater alternatives where freshwater tanks look like saltwater. Your best bet is to go with African Rift Lake cichlids. Full of color & like hard alkaline water. So you can put things like crushed coral as a substrate & dead corals. That'll help buffer the hardness & ph up. Not...

set up today 29 bio cube

Try photobucket.com, I never need to resize my pics when using it. If that still doesn't work go to a site called download.com & download a free program called InfraView. It is simple to use.

Anyone heard of the Freedom Filter?

They seem over priced for what they are. A lot of people will say they're junk, but not have any experience with them. I don't actually know even if they work good just seem kind of over priced IMO.

    steve irwin memorial

Didn't get to see it. Gonna have to try to catch a re-run. Steve was a good guy & the only celebrity that I actually cared about his death. I guess because simply he did more than just play a part on a show. He died doing what he loved at least. I feel bad that he has a wife & such young...

    PH Questions!!??

Ro water has a really low ph, mine below 7. As DogStar says everything should be left behind from the salt evaporation & your salt mix should get your ph high enough even if your RO water is really acidic.

    I am cycled,need some advice

I think it is possible for a tank to cycle in a week. I've also have heard of this happening from many people. However your ammonia didn't spike to high. So therefor it might not be cycled good enough. You might would cause a huge ammonia spike once adding fish, since the tank hasn't built up...

    ***** Sucks! Here Is Why!

My ***** is adequate. Their freshwater fish look way better than PetsMart & the people are halfway knowledgeable on the freshwater. On the other hand I will never buy any saltwater fish from their. I've never tested their smarts or anything like that, simply because I'm not interested in buying...

    replacing bioballs?

Live rock rubble is better than bio-balls though I think sometimes the whole bio-balls thing is blown out of proportion. Bio-balls can be a nitrate trap & could cause a problem. However if you have a pad or something above them it helps. I wouldn't jump into it unless if you see that your...
