    OMG! Made the switch

Do you have wireless laptop? Do you get a signal with your cable package for wireless? I'm thinking about getting one of those new Dell lightweight travel laptops with wireless but assumed I wouldn't have a signal since I have cable. I have TV, internet and phone all on Cox and I pay about...

HI and Merry Christmas to all!

Maybe I'm wrong, but that's what they said on the show. I googled it and it didn't mention the Alladin in the press release. I'm such a google freak these days, I google everything.

HI and Merry Christmas to all!

Merry Christmas to you too Lisa. Congrats on making it through finals. I have to write a paper over the break! I haven't stayed at the Alladin (and can't really even spell it) but, if we can believe "The Apprentice" it will be torn down and a new Trump casino/hotel will go up in it's place. So...

    Is it ICK?

Beth, I went back through my pics and don't have one that shows it. They are literally just small bumps, a little larger than a pin head. They are underneath and don't affect the coloring at all. They are definately larger than the "white specks" of ich which is why I think I didn't suspect ich...

    Is it ICK?

I just wanted to chime in with my powder blue tang (PBT) story. I learned the hard way that when they have ich it starts with bumps and not white spots. If anyone sees that on a PBT they need to start hypo treatment in q right away. By the time mine broke out with the white spots, it was too...

    My new fish is sick

Beth - he died this afternoon. I guess I'll never know what was wrong. I had looked at him with my magnifying glass. I just couldn't identify anything. Maybe he was too small for me to see. It's so sad and as far as new fish, I've only lost 2 baby clowns before. (not that I didn't...

    My new fish is sick

Beth - it's a sailfin tang. I've only got one dwarf angel, but I caught it nipping at the little tang. Here's what I've done so far. I took the sailfin out and put it back in q., started lowering salinity, lights out, and added stress coat. He is very sick with whatever it is. He was fine and...

    1. State the problem as you see it and provide a detailed description. Red Sea Sailfin tang - 2 inches Fish lethargic, lays on sand, swims around some, mostly early morning when others are asleep. We got it to eat some this morning. Hides a lot. Top and bottom fins look a little ragged. I caught...

    Tank Cycling Question

Ammonia and nitrite must reach 0. PH will read lower in morning and higher in evening. It should stabilize somewhat once cycle is finished or you can take an average of morning and just before lights out. If you get your nitrates to 0 you are doing better than I ever have. I've never had mine...

    Speeding up cycle process?

That's a plan and one I used. You can also throw in a grocery store shrimp. That will really help kick start the nitrogen cycle by getting your ammonia up. If you do use a shrimp, I'd take it out after 3-4 days and you see a good ammonia spike. Good luck with the tank.
