HI ya Catawaba, maybe see you around town, Shopping for Fish!
I am with the others in Thanking you and all the troops protecting our Great land!
I have used a maxi 1200 hose on each end to siphon out of container to the tank, saves a whole lot of heavy lifting!
I have now made a water station to make things even easier, darn can't find the link!just hook...
The bigger the better , as long as the wife says it's ok !
I am waiting for 1 more kid to move out, then I get to turn the spare room into my fish room! 300 gal tank right through the wall! :jumping: :jumping: :jumping:
Sounds to me like you have some O rings that have either fallen out of position or just gone bad, I would take it all apart and find the problem! As a rule they don't leak unless you have something out of place/broken
Hmm looking around i found this...
I have done this already, it's not all that usefull, heat exchange from 1 side to the other was the real problem, But if you where to keep an inch between the bulkheads it may work out! I did it with a 55 gal tank, set up 1 side as a QT and the other as Hospital, But in the future i will just...
If salt is left opened, it will absorb the moisture out of the air! If it is so hard you can not break it up, I would make a salt soup so you can still use it, or break it down into small enough chunks to disolve it!
your house would need to be 90 degrees for the tank to stay warm enough!
Bound to be a wally world somewhere! go pick up a cheap heater, I always keep an extra for just that reason!
Some people take less to be happy then others! :jumping:
But allow this to be a fair warning!
You will need to add this, oh yea and that, Oh crap i gotta have one of those too!
LMAO next thing you know you have 2500.00 tied up into a FISH TANK! :hilarious
I really don't know how, it just...
it may even be worthwhile to to get yourself a breeder net, it hangs inside you DT and try to get him in there, turn the lights off for an hour , then try to catch him quietly!
LMAO i was wondring what that meant, the answers are there for you on your other thread!
HAir alge is a PIA! But i think that in a newly cycled tank you should be ok , as said pick/pull what you can, but as your tank stabalizes it will go away!
These will be some amazing lights , But they cost way to much for the time being to used by us home reefers!
even though MH light replcement can be expensive it would take 7-8 years for this light to start paying for its self! And what if the LED's burned out on you , can you get the...
I was ay my local lfs, the owner was catching a fish for a customer, the tank had a lion in it, the people asked him a question he turns around to answer and leaves his hand dangling in the tank, the lion swims over and TAGS him nicely! i waited around for a bit to see if he was gonna need a...
You could probably set up the 29 like that, then convert it to a sump/refugium once the 55 gets here! I really have no idea about the pool filter, as was said before , blennies need a good supply of pods, they will generally eat others things but not all the time, they need the pods. So your...
if you add that much LR at once you will cause another cycle, i would give it a few days , test it out! But like said before, tank is still to young for adding corals, maybe some shrooms or zoos, but they will probably not do well at all!
I have a chance to buy 3-4x8 sheets of 1" acrylic, i am considering building my own tank with this! I am not sure how to make the seams invisable.
Would like to build a tank 6x30x30 is this possible with these sheets of acrylic??
